Graduate Student Peer Mentoring Program
Graduate Student Services is now accepting Peer Mentee applications for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 year.
The Graduate Student Peer Mentoring Program matches incoming Graduate students (peer mentees) with continuing Graduate students (peer mentors). The main objective of the peer mentoring program is to provide incoming Graduate students with academic support, social support and guidance as they make their transition to UC Merced and the surrounding community.
Qualifications:
• Incoming Graduate student for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 academic year
• Interest in sharing your transition experience with a continuing Graduate student
• Interest in learning about the resources of the UC Merced community
• Willingness to receive academic, social and emotional support from continuing Graduate students
Responsibilities:
• Commit to a full academic year (2009-2010)
• Communicate with mentor on a bi-weekly basis
• Attend Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 Peer Mentorship Program dinner
